1 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. (De 23:25; Mr 2:23; Lu 6:1) 

New International Version

1 At that time Jesus went through the cornfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick some ears of corn and eat them. 

New International Reader’s Version

1 One Sabbath day Jesus walked through the cornfields. His disciples were hungry. So they began to break off some ears of corn and eat them. 

King James Version

1 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
