English Standard Version

7 And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. (Ho 6:6; Mic 6:6; Mt 9:13) 

New International Version

7 If you had known what these words mean, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice,” you would not have condemned the innocent. (Ho 6:6) 

New International Reader’s Version

7 Scripture says, “I want mercy and not sacrifice.” You don’t know what those words mean. If you did, you would not bring charges against those who are not guilty. (Ho 6:6) 

King James Version
