English Standard Version

42 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin,[1] it would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea. (Zec 13:7; Mt 18:6; Mr 14:21; Lu 17:2; 1Co 8:12) 

New International Version

42 ‘If anyone causes one of these little ones – those who believe in me – to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung round their neck and they were thrown into the sea. 

New International Reader’s Version

42 ‘What if someone leads one of these little ones who believe in me to sin? If they do, it would be better if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea. 

King James Version

42 And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
