22 And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes. (Mt 7:28)

22 The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.

22 The people were amazed at his teaching. That’s because he taught them like one who had authority. He did not talk like the teachers of the law.
