2 But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. (Isa 4:4; Joe 2:11) 

New International Version

2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.

2 But who can live through the day when he comes? Who will be left standing when he appears? He will be like a fire that makes things pure. He will be like soap that makes things clean.

2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner' fire, and like fullers'soap:
