9 and so I make you despised and abased before all the people, inasmuch as you do not keep my ways but show partiality in your instruction.” (De 1:17; De 16:19; 1Sa 2:30) 

New International Version

9 ‘So I have caused you to be despised and humiliated before all the people, because you have not followed my ways but have shown partiality in matters of the law.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

9 ‘So I have caused all the people to hate you. They have lost respect for you. You have not done what I told you to do. Instead, you have favoured one person over another in matters of the law.’ 

King James Version

9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
