Malachi 2:7

English Standard Version

7 For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and people[1] should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts. (Le 10:11; De 17:9) 

New International Version

7 ‘For the lips of a priest ought to preserve knowledge, because he is the messenger of the Lord Almighty and people seek instruction from his mouth. 

New International Reader’s Version

7 ‘The lips of a priest should guard knowledge. After all, he is the messenger of the LORD who rules over all. And people seek instruction from his mouth. 

King James Version

7 For the priest' lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
