23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. (Mt 10:38; 1Co 15:31; 2Ti 2:12)

23 Then he said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 

New International Reader’s Version

23 Then he said to all of them, ‘Whoever wants to follow me must say no to themselves. They must pick up their cross every day and follow me.
