Luke 7:39

39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.” (Lu 7:16; Lu 15:2; Lu 22:64; Joh 4:19)

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, ‘If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is – that she is a sinner.’

New International Reader’s Version

39 The Pharisee who had invited Jesus saw this. He said to himself, ‘If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him. He would know what kind of woman she is. She is a sinner!’

King James Version

39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.
