47 Now when the centurion saw what had taken place, he praised God, saying, “Certainly this man was innocent!” (Mt 27:54; Mr 15:39; Lu 7:16) 

New International Version

47 The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, ‘Surely this was a righteous man.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

47 The Roman commander saw what had happened. He praised God and said, ‘Jesus was surely a man who did what was right.’ 

King James Version

47 Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.
