2 And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding us to give tribute to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.” (Lu 2:1; Lu 3:1; Lu 20:25; Lu 23:14; Joh 18:33; Joh 18:36; Joh 19:12; Ac 17:6; Ac 17:7; Ac 24:5) 

New International Version

2 And they began to accuse him, saying, ‘We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Messiah, a king.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

2 They began to bring charges against Jesus. They said, ‘We have found this man misleading our people. He is against paying taxes to Caesar. And he claims to be Messiah, a king.’ 

King James Version

2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.
