61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” (Mr 10:21; Lu 22:34; Ac 3:13) 

New International Version

61 The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: ‘Before the cock crows today, you will disown me three times.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

61 The Lord turned and looked right at Peter. Then Peter remembered what the Lord had spoken to him. ‘The cockerel will crow today,’ Jesus had said. ‘Before it does, you will say three times that you don’t know me.’ 

King James Version

61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
