39 And those who were in front rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” (Lu 18:15) 

New International Version

39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!’ 

New International Reader’s Version

39 Those who led the way commanded him to stop. They told him to be quiet. But he shouted even louder, ‘Son of David! Have mercy on me!’

39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
