27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 

New International Version

27 “Your brother has come,” he replied, “and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.”

27 “Your brother has come home,” the servant replied. “Your father has killed the fattest calf. He has done this because your brother is back safe and sound.”
