English Standard Version

12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. (De 21:17; Mr 12:44; Lu 15:30) 

New International Version

12 The younger one said to his father, “Father, give me my share of the estate.” So he divided his property between them. 

New International Reader’s Version

12 The younger son spoke to his father. He said, “Father, give me my share of the family property.” So the father divided his property between his two sons. 

King James Version

12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
