34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. (De 15:9; Mt 6:22) 

New International Version

34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy,[1] your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy,[2] your body also is full of darkness. 

New International Reader’s Version

34 Your eye is like a lamp for your body. Suppose your eyes are healthy. Then your whole body also is full of light. But suppose your eyes can’t see well. Then your body also is full of darkness. 

King James Version

34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
