English Standard Version

37 He said, “The one who showed him mercy.” And Jesus said to him, “You go, and do likewise.” 

New International Version

37 The expert in the law replied, ‘The one who had mercy on him.’ Jesus told him, ‘Go and do likewise.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

37 The authority on the law replied, ‘The one who felt sorry for him.’ Jesus told him, ‘Go and do as he did.’ 

King James Version

37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
