Judges 9:4

English Standard Version

4 And they gave him seventy pieces of silver out of the house of Baal-berith with which Abimelech hired worthless and reckless fellows, who followed him. (Jud 8:33; Jud 9:46; Jud 11:3; 2Ch 13:7; Pr 12:11; Ac 17:5) 

New International Version

4 They gave him seventy shekels[1] of silver from the temple of Baal-Berith, and Abimelek used it to hire reckless scoundrels, who became his followers. 

New International Reader’s Version

4 They gave him 850 grams of silver. They had taken it from the temple of the god named Baal-Berith. Abimelek used it to hire some men. They were wild and weren’t good for anything. They became his followers. 

King James Version

4 And they gave him threescore and ten pieces of silver out of the house of Baalberith, wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons, which followed him.
