English Standard Version

29 Would that this people were under my hand! Then I would remove Abimelech. I would say[1] to Abimelech, ‘Increase your army, and come out.’” 

New International Version

29 If only this people were under my command! Then I would get rid of him. I would say to Abimelek, “Call out your whole army!” ’[1]

29 I wish these people were under my command. Then I would get rid of Abimelek. I would say to him, “Call out your whole army!” ’
