23 Gideon said to them, “I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the Lord will rule over you.” (1Sa 8:7; 1Sa 10:19; 1Sa 12:12; 1Sa 12:17; 1Sa 12:19) 

New International Version

23 But Gideon told them, ‘I will not rule over you, nor will my son rule over you. The Lord will rule over you.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

23 But Gideon told them, ‘I will not rule over you. My son won’t rule over you either. The LORD will rule over you.’ 

King James Version

23 And Gideon said unto them, I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the LORD shall rule over you.
