Judges 8:33

English Standard Version

33 As soon as Gideon died, the people of Israel turned again and whored after the Baals and made Baal-berith their god. (Jud 2:19; Jud 8:27; Jud 9:4; Jud 9:46) 

New International Version

33 No sooner had Gideon died than the Israelites again prostituted themselves to the Baals. They set up Baal-Berith as their god 

New International Reader’s Version

33 As soon as Gideon had died, the Israelites began serving and worshipping gods that were named Baal. Israel wasn’t faithful to the LORD. They worshipped Baal-Berith as their god. 

King James Version

33 And it came to pass, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel turned again, and went a whoring after Baalim, and made Baalberith their god.
