7 The villagers ceased in Israel; they ceased to be until I arose; I, Deborah, arose as a mother in Israel.

7 Villagers in Israel would not fight; they held back until I, Deborah, arose, until I arose, a mother in Israel. 

New International Reader’s Version

7 Those who lived in the villages of Israel would not fight. They held back until I, Deborah, came. I came as a mother in Israel.
