Judges 3:12

English Standard Version

12 And the people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, and the Lord strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done what was evil in the sight of the Lord. (Jud 2:19; 1Sa 12:9) 

New International Version

12 Again the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and because they did this evil the Lord gave Eglon king of Moab power over Israel. 

New International Reader’s Version

12 Again the Israelites did what was evil in the sight of the LORD. So the LORD gave Eglon power over Israel. Eglon was the king of Moab. 

King James Version

12 And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of the LORD.
