6 In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes. (De 12:8; Jud 18:1; Jud 19:1; Jud 21:25)

6 In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as they saw fit.

6 In those days Israel didn’t have a king. The people did anything they thought was right.
