Judges 16:12

English Standard Version

12 So Delilah took new ropes and bound him with them and said to him, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” And the men lying in ambush were in an inner chamber. But he snapped the ropes off his arms like a thread. 

New International Version

12 So Delilah took new ropes and tied him with them. Then, with men hidden in the room, she called to him, ‘Samson, the Philistines are upon you!’ But he snapped the ropes off his arms as if they were threads. 

New International Reader’s Version

12 So Delilah got some new ropes. She tied him up with them. Men were hiding in the room. She called out to him, ‘Samson! The Philistines are attacking you!’ But he snapped the ropes off his arms. They fell off just as if they were threads. 

King James Version

12 Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.
