5 They found Adoni-bezek at Bezek and fought against him and defeated the Canaanites and the Perizzites. 

New International Version

5 It was there that they found Adoni-Bezek and fought against him, putting to rout the Canaanites and Perizzites. 

New International Reader’s Version

5 The men of Judah found Adoni-Bezek there. They fought against him. They struck down the Canaanites and Perizzites.
