12 He said to them, “Pick me up and hurl me into the sea; then the sea will quiet down for you, for I know it is because of me that this great tempest has come upon you.” (Jos 7:20) 

New International Version

12 ‘Pick me up and throw me into the sea,’ he replied, ‘and it will become calm. I know that it is my fault that this great storm has come upon you.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

12 ‘Pick me up and throw me into the sea,’ he replied. ‘Then it will become calm. I know it’s my fault that this terrible storm has come on you.’ 

King James Version

12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
