3 Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. (Joh 11:4) 

New International Version

3 ‘Neither this man nor his parents sinned,’ said Jesus, ‘but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 

New International Reader’s Version

3 ‘It isn’t because this man sinned,’ said Jesus. ‘It isn’t because his parents sinned. He was born blind so that God’s power could be shown by what’s going to happen. 

King James Version

3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
