John 9:9

English Standard Version

9 Some said, “It is he.” Others said, “No, but he is like him.” He kept saying, “I am the man.” 

New International Version

9 Some claimed that he was. Others said, ‘No, he only looks like him.’ But he himself insisted, ‘I am the man.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

9 Some claimed that he was. Others said, ‘No. He only looks like him.’ But the man who had been blind kept saying, ‘I am the man.’
