John 9:6

English Standard Version

6 Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud (Mt 9:29; Mr 7:33; Mr 8:23) 

New International Version

6 After saying this, he spat on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 

New International Reader’s Version

6 After he said this, he spat on the ground. He made some mud with the spit. Then he put the mud on the man’s eyes. 

King James Version

6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,
