42 Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?” (1Sa 16:1; Ps 89:3; Mic 5:2; Mt 1:1; Mt 2:1; Mt 2:5; Lu 2:4)

42 Does not Scripture say that the Messiah will come from David’s descendants and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?’

42 Doesn’t Scripture say that the Messiah will come from the family line of David? Doesn’t it say that he will come from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?’

42 Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
