English Standard Version

38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. (Joh 3:13; Joh 4:34; Joh 5:30)

38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 

New International Reader’s Version

38 I have not come down from heaven to do what I want to do. I have come to do what the one who sent me wants me to do.
