19 When they had rowed about three or four miles,[1] they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were frightened. 

New International Version

19 When they had rowed about three or four miles,[1] they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened. 

New International Reader’s Version

19 They rowed about 3 or 4 miles. Then they saw Jesus coming towards the boat. He was walking on the water. They were frightened. 

King James Version

19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
