16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. 

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
