John 3:19

English Standard Version

19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. (Isa 30:10; Jer 5:31; Joh 1:4; Joh 1:9; Joh 7:7; Joh 9:39) 

New International Version

19 This is the verdict: light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 

New International Reader’s Version

19 Here is the judgment. Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light. They loved darkness because what they did was evil. 

King James Version

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
