John 19:42

English Standard Version

42 So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there. (Joh 19:14; Joh 19:31; Joh 19:41) 

New International Version

42 Because it was the Jewish day of Preparation and since the tomb was near by, they laid Jesus there. 

New International Reader’s Version

42 That day was the Jewish Preparation Day, and the tomb was nearby. So they placed Jesus there. 

King James Version

42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.
