John 12:6

English Standard Version

6 He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the moneybag he used to help himself to what was put into it. (Joh 12:5) 

New International Version

6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it. 

New International Reader’s Version

6 He didn’t say this because he cared about the poor. He said it because he was a thief. Judas was in charge of the money bag. He used to help himself to what was in it. 

King James Version

6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.
