50 Nor do you understand that it is better for you that one man should die for the people, not that the whole nation should perish.” (Joh 18:14)

50 You do not realise that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.’

50 You don’t realise what is good for you. It is better if one man dies for the people than if the whole nation is destroyed.’ 

King James Version

50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
