English Standard Version

8 They are wet with the rain of the mountains and cling to the rock for lack of shelter. (La 4:5) 

New International Version

8 They are drenched by mountain rains and hug the rocks for lack of shelter. 

New International Reader’s Version

8 They are soaked by mountain rains. They hug the rocks because they don’t have anything to keep them warm. 

King James Version

8 They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
