22 Yet God[1] prolongs the life of the mighty by his power; they rise up when they despair of life. 

New International Version

22 But God drags away the mighty by his power; though they become established, they have no assurance of life.

22 But God is powerful. He even drags away people who are strong. When he rises up against them, they can never be sure they are safe.

22 He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
