24 He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth and makes them wander in a trackless waste. (Job 6:18; Ps 107:40) 

New International Version

24 He deprives the leaders of the earth of their reason; he makes them wander in a trackless waste. 

New International Reader’s Version

24 He takes away the understanding of the leaders of the earth. He makes them wander in a desert where no one lives. 

King James Version

24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
