7 The Lord said to Satan, “From where have you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.” (Job 2:2; 1Pe 5:8) 

New International Version

7 The Lord said to Satan, ‘Where have you come from?’ Satan answered the Lord, ‘From roaming throughout the earth, going to and fro on it.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

7 The LORD said to Satan, ‘Where have you come from?’ Satan answered, ‘From travelling all around the earth. I’ve been going from one end of it to the other.’ 

King James Version

7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
