Jeremiah 50:24

English Standard Version

24 I set a snare for you and you were taken, O Babylon, and you did not know it; you were found and caught, because you opposed the Lord. (Ps 141:9; Jer 51:31; Da 5:30) 

New International Version

24 I set a trap for you, Babylon, and you were caught before you knew it; you were found and captured because you opposed the Lord. 

New International Reader’s Version

24 Babylon, I set a trap for you. And you were caught before you knew it. You were found and captured. That is because you opposed me. 

King James Version
