Jeremiah 31:2

English Standard Version

2 Thus says the Lord: “The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness; when Israel sought for rest, (Ps 95:11; Isa 63:14; Jer 30:10) 

New International Version

2 This is what the Lord says: ‘The people who survive the sword will find favour in the wilderness; I will come to give rest to Israel.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

2 The LORD says, ‘Some of my people will live through everything their enemies do to them. They will find help in the desert. I will come to give peace and rest to Israel.’ 

King James Version

2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest.
