Jeremiah 29:7

English Standard Version

7 But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. (Ezr 6:10; 1Ti 2:1) 

New International Version

7 Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

7 Also work for the success of the city I have sent you to. Pray to the LORD for that city. If it succeeds, you too will enjoy success.’ 

King James Version

7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
