Jeremiah 25:27

English Standard Version

27 “Then you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink, be drunk and vomit, fall and rise no more, because of the sword that I am sending among you.’ (Jer 25:16; Eze 38:21; Hab 2:16) 

New International Version

27 ‘Then tell them, “This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.” 

New International Reader’s Version

27 The LORD says, ‘Tell them, “The LORD who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says, ‘Drink from this cup. Get drunk and throw up. Fall down and do not get up again. I am going to send war against you.’ ” 

King James Version

27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
