Jeremiah 2:26

26 “As a thief is shamed when caught, so the house of Israel shall be shamed: they, their kings, their officials, their priests, and their prophets, (Jer 8:1; Jer 13:13; Jer 32:32) 

New International Version

26 ‘As a thief is disgraced when he is caught, so the people of Israel are disgraced – they, their kings and their officials, their priests and their prophets. 

New International Reader’s Version

26 ‘A thief is dishonoured when he is caught. And you people of Israel are filled with shame. Your kings and officials are dishonoured. So are your priests and your prophets. 

King James Version

26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,
