16 I have not run away from being your shepherd, nor have I desired the day of sickness. You know what came out of my lips; it was before your face. (Ps 40:9; Ps 139:4; Jer 15:15)

16 I have not run away from being your shepherd; you know I have not desired the day of despair. What passes my lips is open before you. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 I haven’t run away from being the shepherd of your people. You know I haven’t wanted the day of Jerusalem’s fall to come. You are aware of every word that comes from my lips. 

King James Version

16 As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee.
