6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (Pr 3:34; Isa 54:7; Mt 13:12; 1Pe 5:5) 

New International Version

6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: ‘God opposes the proud but shows favour to the humble.’ (Pr 3:34)

6 But God continues to give us more grace. That’s why Scripture says, ‘God opposes those who are proud. But he gives grace to those who are humble.’ (Pr 3:34)
