James 4:17

English Standard Version

17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. (Lu 12:47; Joh 9:41; 2Pe 2:21) 

New International Version

17 If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them. 

New International Reader’s Version

17 So suppose someone knows the good deeds they should do. But suppose they don’t do them. By not doing these good deeds, they sin. 

King James Version

17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
